I doubt myself a lot.
It's the result of being raised on earth.
You learn to hate yourself.
You learn to mask the hurt.
You don't deserve this, you don't deserve that.
My self-esteem fell to the floor.
Now I'm trying with all that I have
To convince myself I'm worth fighting for.
I wasn’t born like this.
I am the product of the system.
I wanted to be free,
The system wanted to control me.
You cannot do this; you cannot do that.
And I believed the lie.
Now I'm trying with all that I have
To convince myself that I can fly.
I just wanted to be myself,
They told me that wasn’t good enough:
"Imitate somebody else.
Behave like a robot."
You have to do this; you have to do that.
And I became somebody else.
Now I’m trying with all that I have
To convince myself to be myself.
